By Gladiator contributor David T.: new business development manager and pizza aficionado
When it comes to the perfect pizza pie nothing compares to the kind I grew up with as a Northeasterner. So, when I moved to Southwest Michigan for work, I made it my mission to re-create my favorites.
There’s No Pizza like Home
Every week I make wood-fired pizzas for my family in my pizza oven. I used to prepare them in the house and then run them outside to the grill, but the back and forth wasn’t working for me anymore. I wasn’t able to keep a proper eye on my pizzas — and in a 700-degree (plus) oven they cook fast and need to be turned at just the right time.
The Perfect Pizza Setup
I needed a workspace that I could set up outside then move out of the way when I’m not using it. The Gladiator 3′ Hardwood Mobile Workstation helps me do just that. I can wheel it right next to my oven, lock the casters in place and then bring my ingredients outside to make everything on site. Best of all, I can watch one pizza cook while I prepare the next.
I’ve created an outdoor kitchen that fits all my needs. Not only do I get to be outside but I’ve cut down on the number of pizzas I burn! It’s nice to have a workspace where I’m grilling — and when I’m not using it to make ‘za, the Mobile Workstation is great as a buffet/bar cart on the deck when we’re entertaining.
