By Gladiator Contributor Craig T.: glass cutting enthusiast, creative mind

I have always loved to create, constantly looking for ways to express my talents as a designer, DIYer and artist. This desire to make art and pursue creative projects runs in my family — no medium is off-limits!
Glasswork piqued my interest early on in life. I spent a lot of my time as a child watching my uncle cut, solder and build amazing works of stained glass art in his workshop. After he passed away, all of his glass-cutting tools and materials were willed to me. And, let me tell you, this is a very high-maintenance craft. The glass-cutting process is extremely messy and requires an efficient, organized space (and a box of bandages at the ready) that can stand up to the long hours, labor and precision of the craft.
The Art of Small Spaces
The Gladiator® EZ Connect Rack solved so many of my organizational issues. The solid laminate shelves keep small items and tools from falling through the cracks, and they also support the weight of heavy glass plates and withstand the water I need to use in the cutting process. Straight out of the box, the rack was really easy to put together. I assembled it quickly — no tools required — and set everything up in a matter of minutes, making it ready to house all of my tools and supplies without a problem. The shallow depth of the rack fits perfectly in my glass-cutting “studio,” which technically functions as my one-car garage as well. Here, floor space is precious, and a good organization system helps me make the most of this area.
Now that my glass-cutting supplies are all organized and easy to access, I have an ample amount of room and extra motivation to finish some of my uncle’s projects and start new ones…as soon as I pick up another box of bandages!
