Auction Action and Custom Classics for Every Garage

By Blase Mnich, Interactive Brand Writer

High stakes, big money, expensive cars, and fast-talking — the Barrett-Jackson Auction is pulling into Palm Beach, Florida this weekend. Featuring classics, customs and rare finds, the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auction returns to Palm Beach to celebrate its 10th anniversary at the South Florida Fairgrounds and I’m excited to see all the cars I’ll never be able to afford.

With hundreds of amazing rides up for auction, car collectors and aficionados alike have a lot to marvel at this weekend. From vintage finds like the National Corvette Museum exhibited ’57 Vette Convertible, to the chrome custom RENNtech Mercedes-Benz SL600 auctioned off for charity for $155,000, the Barrett-Jackson Auction will definitely pique the interest of most motor mavens, whether they have the bank account to participate or not.

Owning a crazy custom or classic may not be a realistic goal for all auto-enthusiasts out there. But, just because you don’t own a Barrett-Jackson car doesn’t mean you can’t have a garage worthy of one. CONTINUE READING

March Savings Madness

By Blase Mnich, Interactive Brand Writer

With Selection Sunday behind us and the bracket all set for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships, it’s almost time to let the chaos commence. So grab a pen, start making your picks, and cross your fingers because March is nothing short of crazy.

This year the insanity began before the tourney even kicked off. Three of the four #1 regional seeds came into the tournament on the heels of a loss in the regular season. March isn’t just madness on the basketball court. With the start of spring sport season, spring-cleaning and organization put a full-court press on clutter.

Something to be Thankful For

By Blase Mnich, Interactive Brand Writer

It’s the most wonderful time of year again — that season of joy in which it is better to give than to receive. Tradition dictates that we celebrate this holiday in the time-honored fashion — standing side by side with our fellow man… in a long line… In the middle of the night… Outside what’s sure to become an alarmingly crowded store.

When trash becomes treasure

By: Blase Mnich, Interactive Brand Writer

We all do it to some extent. Every garage, basement, and closet is a storage stronghold for our personal junk. And while there may be a few diamonds in the rough stashed away in our do-not-touch piles, most of us can do away with the whole lot of it.

It’s GO Month!

By Jenifer Gregorski, Marketing Specialist

Did you know that there is such a thing as Get Organized Month? It was created by the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) in 2005 as a way to raise awareness about the benefits of being organized.

If your first New Year’s resolution is already a fleeting memory, make your new one “getting organized”. And if you’ve chosen to lose weight in 2011, becoming more organized can help with that resolution too. Not only will you trim unnecessary clutter out of your life, you might even trim a few inches off your waistline. Cleaning burns calories! CONTINUE READING

GARAGE $ALE 101

By Karl Champley, Master Builder

Garage Sale

Did you know that August 14 is National Garage Sale Day? This is a great reason to clear your garage of clutter while making a few extra bucks on the side to create a space that works for your needs. Organizing a garage sale is easier than you think. It’s not my first rodeo when it comes to clearing out the clutter in a garage and probably not yours! Sometimes it’s more of a headache just thinking about it than actually doing it. So start with this easy to do plan:
