Turkey For You, Turkey For Me

By Matt Orlando, Brand Creative Writer

Can you smell it? The turkey, the casseroles, the pies. Oh man, Thanksgiving has got to be my favorite time of year. Not just because I love eating great food, but also because I love eating great food.

But this celebration of all-day eating isn’t always an all-day relaxation event. For those noble few who actually decide to plan Thanksgiving Day for their friends and family, it can become a bit stressful. Over the years, I have seen too many of my loved ones racing against the clock, and growling stomachs, to get the perfect meal ready. If that weren’t bad enough, the logistical seating nightmare begins to take hold.

For you, loyal reader, I have a message. It doesn’t have to be this way!

Now, I’m not saying my mother, mother-in-law and aunts don’t know how to plan a Thanksgiving meal. What am I, crazy?!

No, no. I’m merely suggesting an extra helper. Would you believe Gladiator® products? It’s as true as having the Lions and Cowboys on TV.

See, I come from a large Sicilian family…from Texas, so trying to get everyone crammed into a dining room for a Texas-sized Thanksgiving dinner isn’t exactly an option. So what solution did the wise members of my family come up with? The garage.

We at Gladiator® GarageWorks often say “the garage is one of the largest rooms in your house”. And I can vouch from my Thanksgivings past, that this is absolutely true. By cleaning up and clearing out the clutter in the garage, we had enough room for the food and the family, including cousins 🙂

So, here’s how to create an awesome Thanksgiving scene in your garage or basement with the help of Gladiator® GarageWorks.

Modular Workbench– This is the most essential product for Thanksgiving. Use it as a buffet table for the food or as a table for people to sit at during the meal. Or both. Unlike your pants at the end of the day, an 8’ workbench gives you plenty of room to move around.

Modular GearBox with Maple Top– Use the GearBox as a rolling dessert cart. Your guests will be thankful. You don’t want anyone pulling a muscle after a big feast. This is also a great place to store tasty beverage options.

Chillerator® Garage Refrigerator– You’re going to need to keep food and drinks cold, and in some cases frozen. It’s ENERGY STAR® qualified and can handle harsh garage conditions, including temperature ranges from 0-110°F.

A little unconventional? Yes. Completely practical? Absolutely.

Be thankful for your garage. And everyone and everything in it.
Happy Thanksgiving!
